Medaille d'Argent (Acrylic) - DIONYSYS 2008

The Subject based upon Wine and the Countryside, Flora & Fauna of France. 2 Large Acrylics Vendange and Vendange2 were entered. Another prize for the new Acrylic works as described in the Acrylic section.

Prix de Vermeil (Acrylic) - CASTILLART 2007

CastillArt has been in existence for the last 21 years.  Run by Mr. Ilpide a very successful artist in his won right.  2008 saw a change of Mayor and work on the Chapel where Castillart is normally held which led to a postponement.  I have since spoken to the new Mayor and there is some discussion on whether CastillART will actually continue in the format it had in the past....Politics has entered the fray and there are differences to settle.  I hope that this marvellous Exhibition continues.  It is after all the place where I met Pierre Parsus.
